Our 3 or 4 nights Northern Lights break is a great way to try and see the amazing phenomenon of the Northern Lights.

You’ll fly from the airport of your choice and stay in the 3* Cabin Hotel or similar in Reykjavik. This popular hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation, just 25 minutes walk from this fascinating and exciting city centre with countless bars and restaurants. The hotel itself offers a traditional buffet breakfast each morning and has an inviting bar.

During you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken in search of the Northern light. The expert English speaking guide will have used their experience and will have plotted the best area to see the lights, so you’ll head out of Reykjavik away from the light pollution in search of the dancing lights.

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Icelandic Arctic sky. They are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole. That creates this wonderful light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis.

Of course this tour is depending on weather and sightings are not guaranteed. If you don't see any lights on your tour you are welcome to join the tour again free of charge on the following nights.

This break allows you time to get a taste of Iceland and explore Reykjavik and whilst the city is fairly small and you can see plenty just walking the city streets, our city tour is a great way to see the main sights. You’ll also have time to take in other of the popular tours, why relax in the warm water of the famous Blue Lagoon or see some of Iceland’s most spectacular natural sights on the Golden Circle tour or maybe head out into the bay in search of the Whales.
